- This is for Premiere Pro CS6. Certain circumstances have forced me to work from both a Mac and a PC. I've formatted my external hard drive as ExFat but when I tried opening my work on PC (after starting a project on Mac), it had a bunch of issues.
- Do you think anyone could tell me if it is at all possible to exchange project files between Mac and PC versions of Premier pro. We are a two-man company and I use a PC but the other guy uses a Mac so he was wondering if we can transfer the project files between systems. I have told him it.

Importing a project into another project is the only way to transfer its complete sequence and clip information. Also, you can open projects made with Premiere Pro for Windows, including any contents that may have been imported from earlier versions, in Premiere Pro for Mac OS.

A typical Final Cut Pro X Project with:
- titles at the start and end;
- a mixture of primary storyline and connected clips;
- a mix of active and inactive clips;
- large numbers of J and L cuts;
- to-do markers and regular markers;
- spot audio effects; and
- cross-dissolve transitions.
All transfer without problem. Unfinished to-do markers appear as red markers, completed to-do markers as Green markers, and the blue Final Cut Pro X markers as blue markers in Final Cut Pro 7.

Requirements:
- Final Cut Pro version 10.0.1 or later
- An application that imports Final Cut Pro 6/7 XML (such as Premiere Pro CC, After Effects CC, Audition CC, DaVinci Resolve, Color, Final Cut Pro 6 or 7 etc.)
- OS X 10.7 Lion or later.
In some instances, when launching Premiere Pro or Adobe Media Encoder on mac OS, the application crashes.
Application crashes during launch without any error message on the splash screen.
In some instances, after you update Premiere Pro or Adobe Media Encoder to the latest version 12.1 and try to launch, the application crashes. Splash screen appears and then disappears without any error message.
Adobe recommends you to try the Option 1 to resolve your crash issue. If the issue persists, try using other options listed in this page.

Note:
Do not delete the folders. Ensure that you have taken the backup first before deleting any folder.
Update to the latest version of Adobe Premiere Pro 12.1.1 or Adobe Media Encoder 12.1.1 from the Creative Cloud desktop app. Updating provides a fix for launch issues caused by unsupported Type 1 Font.
Adobe Premiere Free For Mac
In the Creative Cloud desktop app, click Updates from the Apps tab. To install the latest versions of apps on your computer, click Update All or Update. Preferences and settings are migrated over to the new version, and the previous versions of the apps are uninstalled.
- Install the latest version of Premiere Pro or Adobe Media Encoder.
- Click Go ToFolder in the Go menu items (CMD+SHIFT+G).
- Type '~/Library' in the pop-up dialog and click GO. This step takes you to '[User] Library'.
- For Premiere Pro, go to Caches/Adobe/Premiere Pro/12.0For Adobe Media Encoder, go to Caches/Adobe/Adobe Media Encoder/12.0.
- Delete the Typesupport folders for Premiere Pro and Adobe Media Encoder.
- Uninstall any of the existing 12.x versions (12.0, 12.0.1, or 12.1) in your computer.
- For Adobe Media Encoder:Using Finder app, Go > Go To Folder, go to '~/Documents'.Create a backup folder and move this folder into it: /Adobe/Adobe Media Encoder/12.0Using Finder app, Go > Go To Folder, go to '~/Library'.Create a backup folder and move the following list of folders into it:Caches/Adobe/Adobe Media Encoder/12.0
